Together, We Can Make Our World Even More Beautiful !Kampung Senang, the “Village of Inner Peace”, is a charitable organisation that was established in December 1999 to serve the community and environment through a holistic and natural approach. Our first center is located within a 7000 square feet premise on the ground floor
of Block 840, Tampines Street 82, the centre has day care services for the elderly, students and young
children, as well as an organic farm. As our name suggests, we
emphasize the Kampung community spirit of the past, incorporating the values
of sincerity, simplicity, openness and mutual concern in the way we operate.
As of
May 2008, our 120+ active volunteers & 34 full-time & 8 part-time
staff have reached out to over 10,000 beneficiaries &
individuals through our range of services, with our fastest
growing program being our Holistic Support for People Affected by Cancer and
Wheels Of Hope project which serve the needy & also promote recycling,
repairing of re-using of mobility aids equipment. Our Holistic
Lifestyle Centre was opened in 7th October 2006 in Aljunied.
The mission is to be a learning and “releasing space” for all to
experience a holistic lifestyle and improve their Physical, Intellectual,
Emotional & Spiritual well-being.

Fuel cost, rice and almost all neccessity food has become more expensive. Utility bills are also increasing and many are switching from private car to public transport to save on fuel. Environmental issue are also a major concern now, with the Singapore Government promoting to their citizen to conserve energy to reduce carbon emmission. Kampung Senang is Screening CUBA's story THE POWER OF COMMUNITY a 53 min DVD that tells the story of the Cuban people's hardship, ingenuity and triumph through Cooperation, Conservation and Community told in their own words and song. Although they have limited access to fuel and food, they worked together to cope with their limitation to be self sufficient and along the way become a more healthy community through organic living working with Mother Nature instead of against Her.
