Purification and Rejuvenation Camps – PuReCamps
Bonding with Nature; Bonding with People
How many meals do Singaporean eat a day? Some said 3, 4 or 5 times. However, I had heard one who told me that we only need to eat a meal each day. i.e. we start our one meal from the morning until late evening.
So would you be interested to join and pay for a camp that you can only eat or rather eat nothing but drink fruit juices and water for 4 days, sleep in a bunker without air-con, carry your own luggage and walk a kilometer a day?
Well, over 650 people had attended the Detox Camp since Kampung Senang started the first juice fasting detox in singapore's NUS Hotel in April 1994. Each time about 40 ladies and 20 men (inclusive of those who are healthy and people with chronic diseases) joined us in the journey to discover about the truth of fasting. The theme of our quastaly Detox camp was Bonding with Nature and Bonding with People.
For those who will joining the camp they are about to discover the body’s self-healing ability to renew and rejuvenate itself when it is in resting or fasting mode.
Hence, if you had read about the wonder and miraculous effect of fasting from books or the website, you probably would like to join us as it was one of the cheapest in Singapore.
In one of 4 days camp, the participants were taught various topics such as the objectives, principles and techniques of fasting, gallstones removal, organic farming, self healing potential, O-Ring analysis, Rainbow Diet plan, Breathing Exercise and many other Natural Therapy, etc.
Participants also learn about alternative health therapies such as music qiqong (taught by Venerable JingXiang from Thailand), Expressive Singing, Yoga, Taichi, Guasha, Paisha, Slant board, Abdominal breathing techniques. In addition, detoxification methods like gargling with organic sunflower oil and sipping 300 mouthful of lukewarm water were practiced in the morning, folowing by gentle Healing Yoga / stretching.
During the camp, the participants were told that the detoxification process should not only be done at the physical level. They were told to be mindful and observe thier temper and emotions. Negative emotions such as anger, jealousy, hatred and fear were harmful and in fact more poisonous than the physical toxins.
During the feedback sessions, one of the participants commented that he had not stopped eating a day since birth and was impressed with himself that he could survive without any food. Another was amazed that he could live without switching on his mobile phone for 3 days. Some observed that they felt more alert and energetic even though they slept lesser and ate nothing. Others remarked that they felt young again when they were in touch with the nature.
Nature has its way of self-renewal through the cycle of climatic changes. In the temperate climate, we experience the four seasons like spring, summer, autumn and winter. Winter is the time where the plants and trees have their fasting period before they spring to life in spring. Likewise, we must also learn how to let our body take the well-deserved break in order to rejuvenate ourselves and slow down the aging process (even though we cannot stop it).
